31-year-old Seith Nkunzimana at teacher at Buhonzi UPE Primary School in Kisoro district is in police custody for turning a 15-year-old P.7 pupil of the same school into his wife, making her pregnant.
It is alleged that between 2021 and 2022 when the girl was in P.6 and P.7, Master Nkunzimana ‘slept’ with her several times until he made her pregnant.
The girl’s parents suspected her to be pregnant in around December and medical tests proved them right.
The girl revealed to her parents how Master Nkunzimana lured her with money between Shs 5,000 and 10,000 to ‘use’ her countless times.
On learning that the matter had been reported, Nkunzimana went into hiding to avoid arrest until June 9, 2023 when he ran put of luck.
He was arrested from Kampala in a relative’s house where he was hiding.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson, Elly Maate has confirmed this report.
Maate told the Eye Media that Nkunzimana has been transferred to Kisoro for prosecution.
