The territorial police of Kisoro have in custody a group of men for illegal possession of government stores.
The suspects have been identifed as John Ntaate, 25 hawker and resident of Kazo west, Nabweru in Nansana, Bosco Mugisha 51 a fisherman and resident of Ganda village, Nansana, Wakiso district and Sekiranda aged 32 and boda boda at Mini Price Kampala.
Others are Mukeki Alias aged 30 and businessman dealing in Irish potatoes in Mbarara city and Pte Trovice Mbazira attached to Anti-terrorism task force, police headquarters.
Police say arrested the five on a tip off from concerned residents who saw a vehicle parked along Busamba road in Kisoro municipality at around 8:30pm Tuesday June 13, 2023.p
“Then our team of officers proceeded to the scene where they found a vehicle registration number UAQ 236M Noah Silver in colour and arrested the occupants,” said Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson Wednesday morning.
Maate told the Eye Media that on search, the police recovered three magazines loaded with 90 rounds of ammunition, a pair of UPDF uniform, UPDF warm suit, a gun, GPS machine, Binocular, screw driver among other items.
