A 24-year-old man is in custody at Lugazi Central Police Station on allegations of beheading his former girlfriend.
Ekurius Wazemba a resident of Luwayo village in Kawolo Division, Lugazi Municipality allegedly slaughtered Priscilla Agasiru, 19, with whom he has a child.
Agasiru’s body was on Tuesday found by the roadside cut into two with the head put aside and having multiple deep wounds allover.
Ssezibwa Regional Police Spokesperson, Hellen Butoto has confirmed this report, noting that Agasiru had come to check on her mother and child when the incident occured.
“Their baby stays with the deceased’s mother. She had come to check on them,” Butoto said.
Agasiru’s body was conveyed to Kawolo hospital.
“We have also recovered a machete and Wazemba’s blue sandals from the scene,” said Butoto.
The Eye Media has established that Wazemba and the deceased separated some two years backs because of cheating.
“He has been threatening to kill her after she had decided to end their relationship for “someone else.”
“He was angry with her when she said she was leaving him for another man. They had a big argument on the night before her death,” said a source.
Police say, Wazemba will be charged with murder.
