Police in Mukono have arrested and detained a school director from Samuel Kids Academy, Kakinzi, Mukono on suspicion of sexually abusing children under his care.
Samuel Ssengoba’s arrest follows reports of gross misconduct of molesting minors in the boarding section of the school.
The police conducted medical examinations on all the girls in dormitory aged between 15 and 17, based on intelligence information, after medical examinations, four girls were confirmed to have been victims of sexual assault.
Two charges of aggrevated defilement have been slapped on the school director.
Reports indicate that there two other additional victims whowere also identified, but they were not cooperating with investigators.
The police are making efforts to involve their parents and counselors to ensure that these perpetrators of sexual violence are held accountable and brought to justice.
