Police in Luweero district have arrested a sex worker on allegations of stabbing her client to death.
The Monday July 31, 2023 morning incident occured at Nakulabye village, Sekamuli parish, Bamunanika sub county.
The suspect has been identified as Grace Namanya and the deceaded as 40-year-old Moses Bakka.
It is alleged that the victim attempted to rape the suspect from the rented room where she conducts sex work.
Savanah Regional Police Spokesperson, Sam Twineamazima told the media that “the deceased entered into her room but when she asked for Shs 10,000 for him to enjoy the whole night, the victim did not have it. So attempted to rape her. In defending herself, the sex worker pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the face and in the stomach, dieing instantly.”
Twineamazima says that Namanya escaped from the scene but police managed to smoke her out frrom Kikyusa trading centre.
