An unidentified armed robber was Monday September 25, 2023 put out of action by security agencies in Busia boarder town.
This after he allegedly robbed a mobile money agent and made away with unspecified amount of money.
Michael Kibwika, the Resident District Commissioner of Busia District told The Eye Media that the robber first shot and injured Najjuko a mobile money agent in Busia town before taking off with her bag containing the money.
Kabwika says the security forces swiftly pursued the suspected robber, managed to kill him and recovered the gun and money.
Money worth Uganda shillings 21 million and Kenya shillings 600,000 contained in a bag he had robbed from a Mobile Money Agent, Prossy Najjuko was recovered by security.
“The lady [Prossy Najjuko] was rushed to Busia Municipal Health Centre IV where she is receiving treatment,” said the RDC.
