A mob in Bupadhengo village, Nawanyago town council, Kamuli district has captured a 30-year-old man for breaking into a mobile money shop and lynched him.

Joel Musibira a resident of the same place broke into the shop belonging to Swaliki Banalya in Bupadhengo trading centre.

Musibira stole a solar panel, a printer and an unspecified amount of money but neighbours who heard the break-in, made an alarm.

The incident happened on Friday night as Musibira’s relatives and friends enjoyed music in his compound ahead of his introduction by his girlfriend Catherine of Kibibi Budondo, Jinja District.

It is not clear whether the items were supposed to be part of the gifts to be taken to the bride’s family.

At Catherine’s parents’ place everything had been set and relatives were gathered, waiting for Musibira and his team to come for his introduction only to be told he is lynched.
