Media reports this week have shaped the Bulamogi county Member of Parliament, Hon Sanoni Bwire Nadeba as a scammer, with claims that he fraudulently obtained shs26 million from two brothers in promise of taking them to Canada for juicy job opportunities.
It was alleged that the NRM legislator scammed Ivan Makaye and Gerald Magala, out of shs 26 million, both residents of Kasokwe subcounty in Kaliro district.
Setting the record straight, Hon. Bwire’s name is only maliciously dragged through the mud by his political enemies, according to his close friends.
“As a fair and balanced publication, we believe it’s essential to present the truth and defend Hon. Bwire’s integrity,” reads a statement from Hon Bwire Public Relations Office.
It says that the allegations, which have been widely circulated, are nothing more than a vicious attempt to tarnish Hon. Bwire’s reputation.
The brothers’ claims of being scammed are unsubstantiated and lack concrete evidence.
“In fact, Hon. Bwire has consistently maintained that he has offered legitimate consultation services to many youths and other people in his constituency at no cost.
Hon. Bwire has a proven track record of serving his constituents with integrity and dedication where he has consistently showcased a commitment to upholding the trust and integrity expected of a public servant.
It is said that the purported police cases against Hon. Bwire are false and were never registered at either Kaliro central police or Entebbe.”
“The individuals in question have denied instructing anyone to defame Hon. Bwire, leaving many to wonder who could be behind this malicious attack. Could it be political opponents seeking to discredit him?”
Notably, Hon. Bwire has instructed his lawyers, led by Dan Lubogo and Mutembuli & Co., to issue an intention to sue and demand evidence within 14 days and if evidence is not forthcoming, they will proceed with both civil and criminal cases against the purported claimants.
