The Ministry of Health has procured and delivered a water boat ambulance for Namayingo District to improve emergency medical responses in the area.
Thursday May 25, 2023 the multimillion boat docked at Bukana landing site where it is set to be officially handed over to the district and launched by the Minister for General Duties at OPM, Rt Hon Justine Kasule Lumumba this Frinday May 26, 2023.
Friday last week, Namayingo district LC V chairman, Ronald Sanya pitched camp at Ministry of Health demanding for the boat to be delivered to his district.
The water boat ambulance is one of the 14 recently procured by the ministry.
The ambulances are part of the overall plan by government to establish a well-coordinated emergency medical services system in the country where Namayingo is one the districts targeted in phase one of the plan.
