The Electoral Commission Uganda on Monday held a stakeholders meeting for the by-election of Bukedea District Chairperson.
The by-election will also see all vacant local council positions in the district filled up.
The by-election programme commenced on Monday 8, May, 2023 with the update of the Voters Register which exercise is scheduled to end this Friday Friday 12, May 2023 at all update stations in each of the 152 Parishes and wards in Bukedea District.
The Commission Deputy Chairperson Hajjat Aisha Lubega urged all stakeholders to mobilise eligible voters in the district to turn up for the update of their particulars within the appointed period.
