FULL LIST! President Museveni Promotes Prisons Service Officers
President and Commander-in-Chief, Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Friday May 12, 2023 promoted a total of 141 Prison Officers to various ranks.
In a statement, Frank Baine, the Uganda Prisons Service Spokesperson confirmed the appointment and promotions
Promoted officers range from the rank of Assistant Commissioner General of Prison to Assistant Superintendent of Prison.
“The president through his constitutional powers appointed and promoted officers from Uganda Prisons to various ranks,” Says Baine.
Some of the promoted and appointed officers include Assistant Commissioner General of Prisons, John Bosco Tumwebaze, Milton Tiyo, Robert Munanura, Hillary Bisanga and George Muge.
The Commissioner General of Uganda Prisons Service, Dr Johnson Byabasaija said that the promotion to Assistant Commissioner General of Prisons took immediate effect from 29th April 2023.
