As police rushed to a crime seen in Konge where two security guards who are roommates opened fire at each other, leading to the death of one of them, the officers have been tipped off of another shooting in Wandegeya, Kampala.
The incident took place in the afternoon of Saturday May 13, 2023 along Jijju road, Market zone of Wandegeya a Kampala suburb.
A security guard identified as Milton Apuret attached to B-Safe Security Company, reportedly observed a motorist causing an accident that resulted in damage to part of the shop window for Tipy Nice Ltd supermarket.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson has confirmed this report.
“Un an effort to prevent the driver from fleeing the scene, Milton discharged his firearm, inadvertently injuring a nearby individual identified as Geoffrey Mwesigwa, who was inside his shop adjacent to the supermarket,” Owoyesigyire said.
