Godfrey Mbalibula, the Community Development Officer (CDO) of Kaghema Town Council in Bundibugyo district was on Saturday May 20, 2023 arrested for extortion of beneficiaries of the Parish Development Model.
Detained at Bundibugyo CPS, Mbalibula was arrested on orders of
Bundibugyo Deputy RDC, Umar Muhanguzi.
Muhanguzi told The Eye Media that he swung into action after receiving reports of extortion from about twenty PDM groups.
It is alleged that Mbalibula was charging between Shs 70,000 and 100,000 from each group that went to him for registration.
