Pilgrims from the Catholic Diocese of Jinja who were flagged off by Bishop Charles Martin Wamika managed to trek up to Lugazi Parish where they spend the Monday night in intercession.
On Tuuesday early morning, this group of 300 pilgrims led Busoga Kingdom Premier, Joseph Muvawala Nsekere continued with their journey to Namugongo.
“I am fit and ready to walk until the day when we shall reach Namugongo,” Muvawala told The Eye Media Tuesday morning in Lugazi.
“We habe to emulate our Martyrs and our Lord Jesus who left their confort and suffered because of our sins,” he added.
The group is today expected to spend the night at St Paul Catholic Church, Mukono.
