In a bid to strengthen Emergency Response Services the Ministry of Health has embarked on equipping Traffic officers with skills in handling emergencies.
During a three days training conducted in Jinja City majority Police officers in traffic department led by the Regional Traffic Officer SP Mable Asingwire were trained.
The training which was facilitated by Regional Emergency Services Coordinator Dr Reachel Kwagala saw Officers were equipped with skills in handling accident victims and provision of first aid.
This was done because Police are always the first responders to emergencies.
“We have really gained from this training, due to the skills we have git from this exercise” said Mable Asingwire the regional traffic officer Kiira region
