Minister for the Presidency, Hon Milly Babirye Babalanda has described as terrible the attack on Lhubiria Secondary School in Karambi sub county, Kasese District where ADF rebels killed 40 students and three others Friday night.
Babalanda, in a tweet wondered Saturday morning why the rebel group chose to go for innocent Ugandans, moreover students.
The minister asked the armed forces of Uganda to make sure the perpetrators of tragic incidents are captured.
“What has happened in Kasese is terrible. Why this violence and bloodletting, moreover on children? Haven’t we seen enough? God help us, and all perpetrators are brought to book! May the innocent victims rest in eternal peace!,” tweeted the minister.
At least 40 students, the school askar and two residents were killed in Friday night attack attributed to the ADF rebel group.
An unknown number of other students were abducted and forced to carry all the maize flour, rice and beans from the school food store and took them to DRC.
