The Arch Bishop of Church of Uganda, the Most Reverend Dr Stephen Kazimba Mugalu on Sunday July 2, 2023 applauded the leaders of Pakwach for their teamwork geared towards the development of the district.
Mugalu was also impressed by the warm reception accorded to him by the leaders and the church during his Pastoral Visit to the district.
The Man of God made the remarks on Sunday at Pagwaya Arch Deaconary in Panyango Sub county, Pakwach district in his sermon to the christians.
“Am very grateful to the leaders of Pakwach for their unity for purpose and warmly welcoming me to the district since Friday and also today” the Arch Bishop remarked.
“I want to thank the area MPs Hon Jane Avur and Hon Emmy Ongeritho for putting aside the partisan colours but rather chosing to work together for the People,” said to the amusement of the crowd.
The Man of God also lauded the MPs for passing the anti homosexuality bill and congratulated them upon its enactment into Law.
Describing the new law as very exceptional, the Arch Bishop said Anti-Homosexuality Act will help preserving and conservation of the African morals.
He applauded other district leaders notably the Chairman LC V, RDC Paul Eseru and his entire security team for exhibing the highest standards of unity and teamwork.
The Arch Bishop turned to the believers and ueged them to adopt standard fishing gears to avoid destroying the River Nile.
“Please Cooperate with the security officers to ensure that you don’t carry out indiscriminate fishing that will Kill your river Nile just like the Dead Sea,” he said.
He also appealed to the believers to also engage in income generation using the available resources in order to better their lives and improve the living standards.
The Arch Bishop also promised to Pray and advocate for speedy completion of Karuma – Pakwach – Nebbi Road.
The RDC, Paul Eseru thanked the Arch Bishop for his maiden visit to the district and also for the special blessings.
