The police in Busia district have in custody a group of five men caught red-handed engaging and recruit others into acts of homosexuality.
Their arrest follows an operation conducted on Monday 3/7/2023 by the local leaders of Eastern Division in Busia municipality at the edge of the border with Kenya.
The operation which was on Wednesday July 5, 2023 confirmed by Busia Resident District Commissioner, Michael Kibwika was a result of a lot of complaints from concerned residents.
Reports indicate that the residents became suspicious when some men bleached and started behaving like real women.
The suspects have been identified as Kasakya Fadadhi 24, Richard Bukenya 20, Fadadhi Kasakya 24, and a one Bashara aged 26, and two others not yet identified.
The group were netted from Arubaine village, Eastern division where four of them were caught red-handed an single sex activities in an isolated house within the area.
The residents became rowdy and attempted to lynch the suspects but police was quickly alerted and came to their rescue.
RDC Kibwika released a statement on Wednesday July 5, 2023 indicating that the suspects were also found with lubricants and other materials used in homosexuality.
