Dead body of a 45-year-old man was Friday July 6, 2023 found lying in a pool of blood with the tongue and brain missing.
The gruesome incident occured at Nyabukumba village, Nyarwimuka parish in
Ruhinda subcounty, Rukungiri district.
The deceased has been identified as Leopold Mwaka a resident of Nyabukumba village.
Nyabukumba LCI chairman, Mr. Gashome Murera says that on night of Thursday, Mwaka Leopold was seen sleeping by the roadside drunk after taking a lot of local brew.
The following morning he was found murdered and the police was informed.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson says that when the police reached the scene they observed the body was severely cut on the neck and the head cut into two parts with the brain and tongue missing.
“Case was reported vide Rukungiri SD Reference 41/06/07/2023 and we are looking for the unknown assailants,” said Maate.
