President Yoweri Museveni shall this Wednesday morning host H.E Sayyid Ebrahim Raisolsadati, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on a 2-day official visit, the Presidential Press Unit (PPU) announced Monday July 10, 2023.
According to a statement signed by the Deputy Presidential Press Secretary, Faruk Kirunda, the two Heads-Of-State shall this morning hold bilateral talks at State House in Entebbe.
“The address will be live on Television,” says Kirunda.
“Later, the visiting president will address a business forum at Al-Mustafa University, Kyengera,” Kirunda adds.
Last year, President Museveni met and discussed with H.E Dr. Mahdi Safari, the Deputy Foreign Minister in charge of Economic Diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran at State House Entebbe.
Dr. Safari and his delegation informed the President that Uganda would be among the East African countries to be visited by President Sayyid soon.
Dr. Safari informed the President that Iran was ready to cooperate with East African countries in trade and other initiatives of deployment.
