Four Uganda People’s Defense Forces officers including a pilot have survived an aircraft crash in the eastern district of Moroto.
This after the UPDF Air Force helicopter developed a yet to be established technical problem and it crash-landed at Nadiket village located 5.3km west of Moroto town in Laptuk subcounty, Moroto district Saturday afternoon.
The UPDF spokesperson, brig Gen Felix Kulayigye said in a statement Sunday morning that the Air Force Helicopter MI24 (Gun ship) Reg No AF822 crash-landed while on routine operations in Karamoja sub region under 3rd Divisoon area of responsibility.
“The pilot and the three air crews who were on board are safe. The scene has been secured for further management,” he said.
