Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) spokesperson, Hon Phillip Wafula Oguttu has challenged the embattled party Secretary General, Nathan Nandala Mafabi to be realistic and to desist from pedling lies against Rtd Col Dr. Kizza Besigye.
The soft spoken Oguttu who has been out of the limelight for quite some time after active involvement in politics and the media, rubbished Nandagala’s allegations that Besigye has been using all the fronts to frustrate his efforts since FDC was constructed.
“Truth should set you free Hon. (Nandala). Besigye appointed you Leader of Opposition in Parliament. In 2012 and 2015, he supported yours candidature for party president and Secretary General respectively,” posted Wafula on Thursday.
He was responding to a story posted by The New Vision on their Twitter account in which Nandala is quotted to have said that Besigye has been frustrating his efforts.
“In 2021 he was one of us who wanted you for the party flag. You declined,” Oguttu reminded Nandala.
