The Sunday morning accident happened at Myanzi trading Centre where a FUSO Fighter truck carrying Matooke overturned.
By press time the deceased victims’ identities were unknown, but the injured individuals have been identified as Nambusi Grace, Bright Patrick, and Nadunga Lydia who were rushed to Mityana Hospital for medical attention whereas the deceased’s bodies have been conveyed in the mortuary of the same facility.
Wamala Regional Police Spokesperson, Racheal Kawala attributed the accident to brake failure.
“There has been an increase in road accidents on different roads across the country in the recent past which has prompted government to reinstate Kawunyemu to detect drink driving,” she said.
