The police in Njeru Municipality, Buikwe district is investigating circumstances under which an unidentified man drowned on the Nile.
Hellen Butoto the Ssezibwa Regional Police Spokesperson told the Eye Media Wednesday August 23, 2023 that the unidentified body was sighted floating on the Nile at Bujjagaali Dam by fishermen who notified the police.
Butoto said the police with the help of fishermen retrieved the body and conveyed it to Jinja Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem as inquiries into his death are launched.
The police appealed to whoever has a missing relative to go and check on the dead body.
