Mercy Tenywa from Butembe Chiefdom is the Busoga Miss Tourism 2023/24.
Mercy Tenywa was officially crowned by the state minister for Tourism, Martin Mugara alongside Busoga Kingdom Tourism minister, Hellen Namutamba on Saturday August 2023 in the presence of Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV.
Mercy who represented Butembe Chiefdom beat off 13 other beauties to the crown who had spend 20 days in a bootcamp at Kagulu rock Tourism site in Buyende district.
The girls were from the different chiefdoms of Obwa Kyabazinga bwa Busoga.
Judges considered beauty, confidence on stage and the way response to the questions.
