A senior Police officer at the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), was Wednesday September 6, 2023 found dead in his own shallow well.
SSP Robert Ojandu’s body was retrieved by his colleagues of Fire Brigade.
He was a resident of Ssanga ward, which is in Gombe division of Wakiso district.
Sentina Abaro, the deceased’s widow, said the deceased’s mental condition abruptly changed leading to the incident.
“He appeared to have a mental problem and was really despondent,” said Abaro adding she was unsure of the details.
Police retrieved the body of their colleague and transported it to City Mortuary in Mulago, Kampala, for a postmortem.
The deceased worked for the Peace Support Directorate, which is part of Police headquarters.
