The news coming in from Mayuge Town Council in Mayuge district is that the traditional introduction of Kyabazinga to the parents of his chosen Busoga Queen is already done.
Traditional introduction is done from inside the lady’s parents’ house where the girl’s father serves coffee beans to his son-in-law to-be and they eat together.
The ritual is the most important part of an introduction after which the son-in-law is brought outside and introduced to the public by his wife-to-be with the help of her senga (auntie).
The Queen is daughter to RDC Stanley Bayoole.
“It is done. We are now only waiting for them to come outside for the public function,” our insider has intimated to us.
The function is graces by several bigwigs including Presidency Minister, Milly Babirye Babalanda, Minister of General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister, Justine Kasule Lumumba, Busoga Kingdom Katukiro and his deputies, Busoga Royal chiefs among others.
