Police in the eastern district of Kamuli have in custody a man and his wife after finding them in possession of male genitals (a penis).
The suspects have been identified as Yoweri Kaziro and his wife Irene Nabirye both residents of Bukwalo village in Bugulumbya sub-county.
The couple who are renowned herbalists allegedly took advantage of mob justice in which a suspected motorcycle thief was lynched last week and cut off the victim’s genitals.
During their arrest, police found the penis and two teeth in Yoweri’s shrine.
Michael Kasadha the Busoga North region Police spokesperson confirmed this report.
Kasadha told this news agency that the police acted on a tip off from concerned residents who saw a decomposing penis in the couple’s shrine.
