The Police in Kabale district have in custody a 30-year-old man on allegations of defiling a 4-year-old girl child.
The suspect has been identified as Julius Tabu a resident of Rwampiri cell, Katuna town council, Kabale district.
It is alleged that on 7th December 2023 at around midday at Rwampiri cell, Katuna town council, the suspect called the victim together with her two other friends to collect passion fruits.
Upon reaching his place, he sent the friends to go and collect fruits from outside where he remained with the victim in the house and eventually defiled her.
Scene of crime was visited and documented, relevant statements from witnesses obtained, victim examined and suspect arrested & in police custody.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson, Elly Maate confirmed Tabu’s arrest and said his file was being prepared for prosecution.
