A 48-year-old teacher identified as Robert Musekura Robert, resident of Kabahesi cell Buhara subcounty has ended his life by drowning in river Rwabakazi in Kabale district.
Musekura who had first made a will, went missing on January 23, prompting Livingstone Sayuni, a brother-in-law to report a case of disappearance to Kabale central police station.
A resident of Rukore cell Muyanje ward Bubare subcounty in Rubanda district, Sayuni, 53, made announcements over the radio to help in the tracing of the victim who was later found dead by his wife Jean Nyiramahoro Musekura in the waters of river Rwabakazi located at Nyakahita cell Kabale in municipality
Police confirmed the distressing incident which Elly Maate the Kigezi regon police spokesperson informed that the victim had made a will.
In the will which he left at his in law’s place, read that; “the world is not his home and he had enough personal frustration, asking his family to give him a descent burial.
“The homicide team from Kabale CPS was informed and retrieved the body of the victim from the river,” said Maate.
He added that; “The homicide team led by the O/C CID one D/SP Mukama Hakim visited the crime scene and the body was taken to Kabale regional referral hospital mortuary for postmortem as investigations proceed.
