An unspecified number of people and animals are feared dead with several others injured in a fatal accident that occurred Monday February 26, 2024 evening at Lugalambo in Buikwe District along Kampala-Jinja highway.
The accident involved a fuso truck Reg No UBM 519B carrying cattle, goats and sheep had a head-on collision with a trailer Re No UBK 223H.
By exactly 5:00pm when we released this story, a number of dead bodies were still lying in the middle of the highway and victims who sustained injuries were crying for help.
The traffick flow was still blocked as the wreckages fell in the middle of the road.
The Eye Media contacted Ssezibwa region police spokesperson, Hellen Butoto who said her office was still gathering a detailed report on the incident.
