Whereas Trevor Solomon Baleke was transfered from Kole in July 2022, there is a conman who Friday March 22, 2024 sent a message to leaders from the northern district asking for ‘some help’ from them in the name of the now Namayingo Deputy RDC.

Using 0762829018, the impostor begged for Shs 50,000/- in a text sent to Kole District Woman MP, Judith Alyek.

Alyek got suspicious and notified Baleke that someone was using his name.

“I got suspicious and called him because Mr. Baleke is a man of integrity, and we really enjoyed working with him in our district. And of course, I know his contacts,” said the woman MP.

After the alert, Baleke immediately handed the conman’s contact to security for management.

He cautioned the people of Kole district not to be conned by impersonators posing as their deputy RDC.

“He is calling himself my name and saying that I am still in Kole, yet I left that district in July 2022,” said Baleke.

In the message seen by this writer, the needy person who said he was “not doing well” used 0762829018 to communicate to the lawmaker.

“Hello honourable, long time dear. Please I’m not doing well this evening, my dear honourable. I need some 50k from you hounourable Judith if you don’t mind, please. Deputy RDC Kole district, Trevor Solomon Baleke” reads a screenshot of conversation shared to us by Mr. Baleke, who now wants the user of the said number, is arrested.

Mr. Baleke has told this writer that he shall not leave his name to be used in such illegal acts.

He said he is not in need of any help to contact anyone.

“My dear people of Kole, especially leaders, good evening. My name is Trevor Solomon Baleke, your former Deputy RDC. I have noticed that some conman is texting you using 0762829018 asking for money from you. Disregard that person. I am not in need of any help, and if I need to contact any of you, I use my very known numbers of 07775***40, 0752***014,” Baleke posted in Kole WhatsApp groups.

He noted that the user of the MTN number (0762829018) is trying to con the Honourable MP.

“Please don’t be conned. My numbers are known, and I left Kole long ago as you’re very aware. I thank our woman MP and friend, Hon Alyek, who has alerted me,” Baleke added.

He said; “I have asked the security to track the person, but also, it is important to inform you so that you don’t fall prey in the due course.”

When checked electronically, the number is registered in the name Aguti Assa.

Baleka was deployed in Kole district as DRDC in 2022 and later transferred to Mayuge district. He was then transferred to Namayingo district, where he is currently serving the community.
