Police in Mityana have in their custody the LCI chairman of Kibubula B Cell, Busunju Town Council, Mityana District, for aggravated defilement of a 14-year-old girl.
The suspect, Mukasa Muhammed, allegedly began defiling the victim in March 2024 at his saloon in Busunju Town, where the victim’s mother had taken her to study hairdressing.
The 54-year-old suspect enticed the 14-year-old victim into a sexual relationship and even surrendered one of his salons to her as a means of enticement and accommodation.
Rachael Kawala the Wamala region police spokesperson has told us that, preliminary findings indicate that the suspect continued to sexually abuse the victim now in his salon where she was staying.
“We strongly condemn this heinous act by a person who should have protected the girl child instead of taking advantage of her vulnerability.The investigation is ongoing,” Kawala said.
