The Deputy Presidential Press Secretary Hajji Kirunda Faruk Saturday June 29, 2024 said he will himself deliver on all pledges his wife Gladys Aliyinza made to the people of Luuka before she died.
KF as fondly known was addressing mourners during a requiem service at Kayunga Church of Uganda in Luuka, Saturday afternoon.
He outrightly transfered shs 5 million from his phone to that of the archdeacon to fulfil one of the pledges made by Aliyinza to the church.
Aliyinza who has been aspiring for Luuka Woman MP seat currently occupied by former presidency minister Esther Mbayo died Thursday June 27, 2024 evening in an accident that also claimed her political assistant, Yusuf Biita.
The incident occured at Nawansega village in Bukoova town council, Luuka district.
The former aspiring Luuka district Woman member of parliament was travelling in a four-wheel drive double cabin that collided face to face with a sugarcane truck.
Aliyinza will be laid to rest this Sunday June 30, 2024 at Buwala village, Lambala parish, Irongo Subcounty Luuka district.
