Shock engulfed believers at All Saints Church Walukuba Jinja when panga welding assailants attacked and and stabbed the lay leader from the Church visibility.
The incident occured Saturday June 29, 2024 at around 9:30pm leaving the lay leader, Mr. Mande Isaiah in critical condition with wounds on his neck.
The motive of the attackers is not yet established but they took off with the victim’s mobile phones.
The police through Kiira region police spokesperson, James Mubi confirmed the incident.
“The culprits are yet to be identified but our team is doing everything possible to have them apprehended,” said Mubi to this publication.
In their pursuit of the suspects, the police who swiftly swung into action, introduced sniffer dogs to the scene.
Well wishers rushed the victim to Nile International Hospital for medical attention.
