A mysterious fire has gutted a taxi registration number UBA 463V with 18 passengers on board, killing at least four and leaving 14 others with serious injuries.
The taxi caught fire along Clive road west (Kampala stage).
Eyewitnesses say the taxi was seemingly in perfect condition but to their surprise and shock it caught fire as it started it’s journey to Kampala.
The incident occured around 5:00pm Sunday July 14, 2024.
By press time, the Jinja fire brigade had arrived and rescue of the survivers was ongoing.
