Renowned 59-year-old political analyst and former Presidential Press Secretary, Joseph Tamale Mirundi left a unique will before breathing his last yesterday 13 August 2024.
Since July this year, Tamale Mirundi has been at Kisubi Hospital where he was rushed as he grappled with lung complications.
Mirundi has been grappling with Pulmonary edema a condition that sees fluids collect in the air sacs of the lungs, making it difficult to breathe.
Subsequently, Mirundi was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following the deterioration of his health. He has been under close medical watch, unfortunately, he lost the battle yesterday night.
Based on numerous Mirundi interviews, he stated that several residences including Zana, Kabalagala, Kyengera, and one in his home village should host two-day vigils before his interment.
Additionally, Tamale Mirundi suggested that during the vigils he should be celebrated with music, food, and lots of alcoholic beverages.
It is not yet clear whether Tamale’s verbal wishes shall be adhered to by both his family, friends and government.
