Namutumba, Uganda – August 19, 2024: In a recent reshuffle of President Yoweri Museveni’s representatives, Trevor Solomon Baleke, formerly the Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Namayingo, has been reappointed and posted to Namutumba in the same capacity. This move comes after Baleke’s notable success in resolving 181 land conflicts during his tenure in Namayingo.
Having served in Namayingo for nearly two years, Baleke earned a reputation for effectively coordinating security agencies, maintaining peace, and upholding human rights within the district’s fishing communities. In an interview, Baleke expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by the appointing authority and reflected on his time in Namayingo with pride.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to continue serving our people and ensuring the promotion of security and government programs in Namutumba,” Baleke said, pledging to build on his previous successes in his new role.
His reassignment to Namutumba is seen as a strategic move, as the district will benefit from his expertise in conflict resolution and his commitment to fostering stability and development.
