Hajji Faruk Kirunda, the Special Presidential Assistant on Press and Mobilization and Deputy Presidential Spokesperson, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Budaka Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Hajjat Nusura Nabukalu, who tragically lost her life in a road accident on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
In a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Hajji Kirunda described Nabukalu as a “tested, trusted, focused, and straightforward” cadre of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party. He emphasized that she was appointed to her position due to her unwavering dedication and zeal for both the party and the nation.
“Deputy RDC Budaka, Hajjat Nabukalu Nusura, who has died in an accident in Musita this evening, has been a tested, trusted, focused, and straightforward cadre of the NRM. She was appointed because of her unshakable zeal for the party and nation,” Kirunda wrote.
Reflecting on her long history of service, Kirunda shared how Nabukalu was well-known at all levels of society, even from his own early years. He recalled hearing of her work in local council structures, where she served diligently and without blemish.
“Hajjati Nabukalu’s death is not just a personal loss but a blow to the entire nation. She has died in the line of duty and deserves to be celebrated and emulated in her ways,” Kirunda continued, praising her dedication to public service and her commitment to the NRM.
The Deputy Presidential Spokesperson concluded his message with an Islamic prayer, “Innalillahi wainalilei rajoon!” (Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him is our return), expressing his deepest condolences to Nabukalu’s family, colleagues, and the nation at large.
