Nabukalu, widely known as “Bwera,” tragically lost her life after her vehicle collided with a trailer on the Jinja-Iganga Highway at around 5:00 p.m. at the Waitambogwe curve in Mayuge District. The 2023 Toyota Demax (UG 4803C) she was driving was en route to Jinja when the crash occurred. Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after the accident.

Nabukalu had just attended an official event in Bulamagi, Iganga District, before the tragic incident. Following the accident, her body was transported to Jinja Regional Referral Hospital by Bugweri RDC, Magala Banuli, for further handling.
The news of her untimely passing has left the Budaka region and the nation in mourning, with many recalling her tireless efforts in serving the people. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
