LUUKA — The people of Luuka District are set to enjoy a spectacular social and political gathering this Sunday, June 1, 2025, as Hajji Faruk Kirunda, the Special Presidential Assistant for Press and Mobilization, hosts the much-anticipated “Ekibinuko Va Mundoolo” at Lambala Primary School.
The event, which promises a mix of entertainment and civic engagement, will kick off at 2:00pm and run through the night with a fireworks display and a dance party expected to light up the skies.
According to organisers, the gathering is aimed at fostering unity, celebrating local success stories, and strengthening the bond between government and citizens.
Political leaders, including Members of Parliament, National Resistance Movement (NRM) district officials, and a host of successful youth entrepreneurs are slated to address attendees.
In a statement issued on Monday, Hajji Kirunda extended an open invitation to residents and well-wishers from across the Busoga sub-region to attend.
“This is a celebration of progress, community, and opportunity. We welcome everyone to come, learn, network, and enjoy,” he said.
The Chief Guest will be Hon. Balaam Barugahara, the State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs, who is expected to represent President Yoweri Museveni at the event.
Organisers have confirmed that entrance is free of charge. “Come one, come all,” reads the official poster.
The event is expected to attract thousands of participants, with heightened security and logistical arrangements already underway to ensure a safe and smooth celebration.
