Three people perished in a tragic road accident that occured Friday midmorning in Kabale district.
Reports indicate that a Simba-bound bus, travelling from Kigali to Nairobi Kenya with registration number KCG 888F, collided head-on with a Mercedes Benz motor vehicle with a Rwandan numberplate.
The accident occurred at Kitumba which is about 4 km from Kabale town.
By press time, the particulars of the deceased were not yet known.
In the imcident, a fourth person survived with grave injures and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention as the three bodies were taken for deceased for post-mortem examinations.
The accident caused both vehicles to sustain significant damage.
Emergency services were immediately called to the scene to assist with rescue efforts and transport the injured to the hospital.
The Police have not yet released an official statement regarding the accident.
