Kampala : The Uganda Police Force has issued a stern warning against rising cases of gang violence involving musicians, which has led to public disorder and property damage at entertainment events.

In a press release dated January 2, 2025, the police highlighted a concerning trend where musicians are using gangs to intimidate one another, causing chaos at public gatherings. This behavior has been described as both “unacceptable” and “deserving of condemnation.”

The statement further noted that these gang activities have inflicted significant damage to property, disrupting the peace and safety of entertainment spaces.

The Uganda Police Force has warned that all individuals involved in such actions will be held accountable for their conduct.

“We hereby issue a stern warning that all individuals involved in these actions will be held responsible for their conduct,” the statement reads.

The police emphasized their commitment to maintaining public safety and urged stakeholders in the entertainment industry to act responsibly to prevent further incidents.
