The Deputy Chief Political Commissar, Commissioner of Police, Hilary Kulayige has warned the police officers in Busoga North Region about the dangers of having multiple loans.
Kulayige says there is need for officers to maintain a healthy financial standing to ensure optimal performance in their law enforcement responsibilities.
He says it is stressful to have multiple loans and can potentially affect one’s performance.
Kulayige made the remarks on Wednesday June 14, 2023 while meeting officers of police working in Busoga north region.
To talk to the officers, he was accompanied by a team of senior officers from Police Headquarters.
The purpose of the two-day baraza is to provide guidance on officer welfare and to identify challenges affecting policing in the region.
During the interactive session, the attending officers were encouraged to openly voice their concerns, allowing for a frank and constructive dialogue.
