The Oyam Central Police Station has apprehended two individuals including Robert Ogwal, UPC party chairman of Otwal Sub-County.
SP Patrick Jimmy Okema the North Kyoga Regional Police Spokesperson has identified the other suspct as Ronald Ocen a 31-year-old resident of Minakulu Town Council.
It has been established that Ocen is also a UPC official.
The duo were caught with a list of names of people who had already received a share of the bribe and a bundle of unspent cash total Shs 150,000 at around 6:00am.
Police officers thedeployed to provide security in Otwal Sub-County intercepted at Kut Odongo Village, Amuku Gungu Parish, Otwal Sub-County on a rip off from residents.
“Presently, the case is under investigation at the Oyam Central Police Station, pending the compilation of evidence for submission to the Residence State Attorney for advice,” said the regional police PRO.
