Unknown gunmen Saturday night shot dead John Luwaga a renowned businessman and land dealer in Ssemuto town council, Nakaseke district.
Our sources indicate that after gunning him down, the assailants fled the scene using his car a Toyota Wish to flee.
The car was later intercepted at Namaliga along Bombo road and one of the assailants arrested.
It is being alleged by residents that Luwaga was murdered because of a land deal.
Police recovered the killer gun, cartridges and a machete at the crime scene.
It is alleged that among the assailants was some goon dressed in a UPDF uniform.
By Sunday night, the police had not issued an official statement although they were doing everything possible to apprehend the assailants.
