Rubanda police still stuck with an unidentified body of 13-year-old

Rubanda: Police in Rubanda district is still stranded with a dead body of an unidentified and unclaimed juvenile estimated to be around 13-years of age, who suddenly died besides a kiosk in Karegyere trading center, Muko sub county.

The Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson, Elly Maate has told eyemediauganda.com that since yesterday when boy was discovered dead, efforts to identify his relatives have not yet yielded results.

The incident
Karegyere cell, LCI chairman Kwizera Katatsya on Monday informed the police in Rubanda that “there is a boy who has collapsed dead in my village and no one knows him.”

He further informed the police that before his collapse, the deceased was at around 10:00am seen seated behind the kiosk of Clare’s mobile money point.

“At around 3:00pm, was seen dead in seating position. The chairman was informed who in turn notified us [police],” said Maate.

Eye Media has established that the police took the boy’s lifeless body to Kabale hospital mortuary for postmortem where it remain lying as they search for his unknown family.

“Efforts to trace for the relatives of the deceased are at hand.”

“He is approximately 12 -14 years old, of a brown body complexion, uncircumcised, putting on red sweater and a black old tone jean pair of trousers,” explains Maate.

Anyone missing the dear one, should visit the hospital mortuary, for identification and burial.
