Unknown assailants have hacked to death a 32-year-old former Baba Television presenter, Rogers Kifubangabo.
Kifubangabo is son to prominent news anchor and General Manager of Baba FM, also Biology teacher at Jinja Secondary School, Michael Kifubangabo.
The incident, according Mr. Michael Kifubangabo happened at an unknown hour in the Sunday night in Budhumbuli, Jinja city north division a few meters from where the victim lived.
Michael who also is the information minister in Busoga Kingdom told the Eye Media Monday morning that his son’s body was just found dumped with the head chopped.
“The killers were really so determined. They slaughtered him with machetes, leaving all the other body parts intact. May be he had misunderstandings with them. Maybe they got him with somebody’s wife. The police should investigate,” said Mr. Kifubangabo.
Rogers will be laid to rest on Wednesday June 21, 2023 in Nagweni village, Bulopa Sub county, Kamuli district where Michael Kifubangabo is also the sub county NRM chairman.
His manner of death has sent into shock the media fraternity Jinja.
Journalists, friends and relatives are demanding for investigations into his murder and pursuit of the assailants.
By press time, police had already launched a manhunt for the killers.
