Differences among Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) bigwigs are deepening day by day with each coming up with fresh accusations against the other.

The latest we have is that Hon Nandala Mafabi paid Ugx 30,000 to each of the twenty people he allegedly deployed to beat Journalists who went to cover a press conference at the party quarters on Thursday, says Hon Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, the FDC spokesperson.

Prior to the conference, called by the FDC party chairman, Ambassador Wasswa Birigwa, several Journalists were beaten upon being denied entry into the part Headquarters in Najjanankumbi.

Birigwa was set to highlight issues concerning the current impasse between the party leaders and the grassroot electoral process within the Forum For Democratic Change.

While speaking on the Capital Gang on the morning of Saturday July 22, 2023 Ssemujju Nganda, revealed that Nandala Mafabi hired 20 goons, supervised by the Party President, Patrick Oboi Amuriat to beat up journalists at the party headquarters and later paid each Ugx 30,000.

The beaten journalists were later taken to hospital for immediate treatment.

Party President Amuriat later regretted the beating of the Journalists and promised an investigation into the beatings.

The party which is now divided into two factions has been in the media arguing about evil money saying President Museveni has been offering money to the FDC Party President and Secretary General to bring down the party .

Ssemujju also said, a Ugx 157 billion shillings figure had been agreed upon with President Museveni to be remitted in different disbursements since “he had no Lumpsum at the time of the agreement.

He promised to deliberate the money in bits,” Ssemujju narrated.
