A suspected cattle thief was on the morning Wednesday August 2, 2023 lynched in Jinja district by an angry mob.
The deceased identified as Ismael Tumuhimbise a resident of Kabeza village, Kanara sub-county in Kamwenge district.
Tumuhimbise was lynched from Buwera village in Buwenge subcounty by a mob who found him hiding in a forest with a cow stolen Hamisi Kigoro a resident of the same place.
Residents wondered how a resident of Kamwenge ended up in Buwenge on to be got stealing a cow.
Kiira North Division Police Commander, Christine Namawuba condoned both the act of mob justice and the alleged theft.
